A Feature Story — Play, Music & Family

Festivals are for sharing
Bring the whole tribe

We know you didn't stop loving the music when you became parents. You just need a place to share it.

The Story

It started with a simple idea: why can't festivals be for families too?

Gaia grew up surrounded by play. Her mother runs Fate per Gioco, a childcare agency and Ludobus project dedicated to spreading play culture across Italy. From play buses to animated readings, school workshops to summer camps — games and creativity were the family business.

When Gaia became a mother herself, she found that the music festivals she loved suddenly felt like hostile territory for families. The music was too loud, the crowds too dense, the spaces too adult. “I kept thinking: why does becoming a parent mean giving up the things you love?” The answer, she decided, was that it shouldn't.

Drawing on a lifetime of experience with her mother's agency, she gathered a team of friends — Elia, her right hand since childhood; Andrea, the joyful game inventor; and Maida, a nursery school teacher with extraordinary sensitivity. Together, they created Little Spirits: a traveling playground that could transform any patch of festival ground into a vibrant, family-friendly space.

The Philosophy

“Man does not stop playing because he grows old, but grows old because he stops playing.”

— George Bernard Shaw

At the heart of Little Spirits lies a conviction that the entertainment industry has long overlooked: playing has no age. The team doesn't just entertain children — they create environments where adults rediscover the transformative power of play.

“We quickly realized that the need for play is as strong in children as in adults, if not even more so,” explains Gaia. “We believe in the goal of reconnecting every person with their inner child as a form of personal and social growth.”

“Every child is unique and deserves a beautiful, quality experience,” she adds. “Offering beauty and quality to the little ones is the best investment for tomorrow.”
